Clarifying: on Tumblr and Missing E
I don’t mean to imply by saying that “Tumblr has huge and obvious scaling issues” that Tumblr don’t know what they’re doing: on the contrary, with their insane growth rate it’s amazing the site is up at all. I have nothing but respect for their engineering team.
But that just emphasizes my point. They are undergoing insane growth and are actually more stable...
